W.A.D! Volunteers Training Programme (Level 1 – Discover Self)

On 6th and 27th June, we just conducted a volunteer training with 50 volunteers on Discovering Self. The volunteers got to know their strength and weaknesses through the workshop, and were inspired by the sharing on learning through volunteering. More to come in July as we gear up for more training programme and preparation for our flagship event, ROMP 15.

SPARKS Values In Action this June Holiday

A group of our students from SPARKS together with 7 Raffles Institution students contributed food items to our beneficiaries. Instead of just having fun and enjoying the holidays, these students took the time and effort to pack beautiful gift packs and went door to door the visit the elderly and families, to share the joy of giving. They believe that age is not a barrier to offer help and contribute to the society. This activity had also encouraged them to continue to give and be part of meaningful activities.

3M Step-Up Challenge is BACK!!

Hope you are looking forward to this meaningful event. This year, we will be partnering with Southeast-CDC again to raise “Health & Safety products” for the elderly who are residing in our community. Many of our beneficiaries either lived by themselves or with their families in simple a 1 or 2room apartment and there is a great need for our affluent society to show care and concern to them in a tangible manner. With that, for every 500 steps climbed, a health & safety product will be raised for these elderly in need, complimentary from 3M.

Last year we raised an astonishing 397 household items for families in need and our target is to climb 300,000 steps to benefit 150 needy elderly. Our challenge for everyone is to at least climb 1000 steps to raise two 3m products for the elderly in need.

We invite you to join us for this event and also extend the invitation to your family and friends.
